High Torque Cordless Wrenches from Milwaukee

Milwaukee announced their introduction of high-torque cordless impact wrenches based on their M18 platform. While all feature impressive stats, they claim the biggest will reach 750 ft-lbs of fastening torque. For a cordless tool. Wow.

This is another step in the rollout of Milwaukee’s current generation of tech, which they break down into it’s 3 main parts: battery, motor, and the electronics controlling them. Respectively named REDLITHIUM, POWERSTATE brushless, and REDLINK PLUS, these are now central to almost all of Milwaukee’s M18 cordless tool line.

Although this is the logical next step, that doesn’t mean it’s not impressive. By also improving the impact wrench specific components, they were able to irk out some pretty good numbers. Product Manager for Milwaukee Tool Corporation, Mike Monteleone, said, “With the combination of M18 FUEL™ technology and an optimized impact mechanism, these new tools can challenge all cordless, corded, and even pneumatic competitors.”

This isn’t too much of a stretch.
